Aluminum Cast Tool & Jig Plate List
Cast aluminum plate varies with a tolerance of +/- 0.005, creating superior flatness. Additionally, PVC plastic has been used to protect two sides. Find your plates here, from Alcoa’s Mic 6® to PCP’s ALCA 5®.
ALCA 5® can be produced up to 96″ by 288″, so it is ideal if you need extra width. Moreover, they are available in variable thicknesses, ranging from 6mm to 30mm. Typically, the lead time on an order is only three weeks, so it does not take long to receive.
Wrought Plate
Wrought aluminum is made using many alloys, including 6061 T651 aluminum. Further, it is available with 0.060″ short span flatness tolerances. Unfortunately, these tolerances are exceedingly liberal, according to the Aluminum Association Standards. Nevertheless, the majority of 6061 T651 plates are available up to 3″ thick. Even so, the Hulamin designs are only available in sizes of up to 2.50″ thick.
Aluminum Mold Plate
M-1® plates were first developed in 1988, and they are dense and stable alloys. In addition, they do not have to be treated using heat, making them simple to use. M-5® plates are available upon request, and they can range in size up to 19″ x 88″ x 196″.
