They must be able to keep a watchful eye on who is writing or talking about the organization and always monitoring social media. They must be aware when your company or products are mentioned online and be on top of brand management at all times.

Staying in the Know
A good brand manager will be in the know when it comes to your industry’s competitors. It is impossible to stay on top of your brand if you do not where you stand amongst the pack. Your brand manager must be able to spot the latest trends and follow blogs and articles within the industry so that you can stay ahead.

Stay Ahead of the Game
Your brand manager must be proactive to make sure that your brand is never defined by anybody else outside of your company. This requires them to be innovative, creative, and always ahead of the game.
